Setting the combination lock

Suitcase lock with recess/push button

Is there a small indentation or push button on the top or bottom edge of the combination lock? Press it in with a pointed object, such as a ballpoint pen or toothpick, and hold it down. You can then set your desired number combination using the wheels in the suitcase lock. During adjustment, the wheels will probably be harder to turn than you are used to when opening them. After you have set the desired number combination, press the button to open the suitcase lock. The small push button will now return to its original position and your combination has been successfully saved.

If your suitcase lock does not have a push button on the top or bottom edge, proceed as follows. Slide the opening slider of the combination lock to the side and hold it in this position. Now you can set the desired combination to the desired sequence of numbers by adjusting the wheels. Similar to the first adjustment process, the wheels will be a little more difficult to operate here too. When setting, make sure to keep the slider pressed as far as it will go, otherwise the number combination may change uncontrollably. Once you have set your code, release the opening slider. Et voilá – your code has been saved.
